Attending the IRS Tax Forums?

Are you planning to attend the IRS Tax Forum in San Diego next month? CTEC will be doing a joint presentation with the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) to educate tax preparers about registration requirements and California tax updates. 

CTEC Registered Tax Preparers (CRTPs) who go to the presentation will earn one hour of California continuing education. 

The CTEC presentation will cover:

• Complaints about education providers
   
• New CRTP disciplinary mandate

• Registration requirements

• CTEC registration vs. IRS Annual Filing Season Program requirements

The FTB presentation will cover:

• California tax filing updates

• Enforcement efforts
